The University of Westminster Business School has just produced a fantastic promotional video for their integrated MBA program. In my opinion, videos like this are essential for expensive and prestigious courses like MBA’s. In this article I explain why this is.
An MBA (Masters of Business Administration) is one of the most prestigious and expensive courses a university can offer. Only the very best (and well off) prospective students can afford to take one. To attract these prospective students, universities must communicate a compelling proposition. A promotional video can be a great way to do this. It communicates in ways plain text and pictures simply can’t.
So what makes the University of Westminster’s MBA video so good? Well, from my point of view it’s all down to production values. The video is well produced, stylish, and almost certainly been filmed in High Definition (HD). These high production values reflect well on the MBA program. From a branding perspective, they help to position the MBA as a quality proposition for prospective students.
In addition to these high production values, I was also impressed by the content of the video. It does a great job of showing off the unique selling points of the University of Westminster’s MBA program. The course is clearly very practical, and the video helps to demonstrate this. It also showcases the university’s unique facilities.
All in all, a job well done by the University of Westminster!
